Ampersand (&): The Curves of Analog Communicationr
I merged the most nostalgic symbol of communication—the telephone cord—with the most aesthetic symbol of connection: the Ampersand (&). This project tells the story of a spiral line that once carried voices, now connecting forms and words.
Crafted entirely by hand using a vintage rotary phone cord, I shaped the typographic skeleton physically before capturing it on camera. The final poster was polished in Photoshop, bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds. This piece breaks the coldness of digital design with the texture and history of an analog object

The term ampersand is a corruption of and (&) per se and, which literally means “(the character) & by itself (is the word) and.” The symbol & is derived from the ligature of ET or et, which is the Latin word for “and”.
